Our story
From curiosity
to community.
Alec Dale graduated with a film degree, but graphic design was always the real passion — especially when it meant designing something that could be worn to a theme park. She wanted clothing that nodded to her favorite characters and worlds without a full costume. She couldn't find it, so she started making it herself.
What began as a curiosity about the screen printing process turned into a full-blown hobby. When her husband was stationed across the country during his military service, Alec needed work that could move with them. Etsy was the answer. One listing became ten. Ten became hundreds.
Over 46,000 orders later, Kawaiian Pizza Apparel has grown from a hobby into a beloved fan-owned brand with its own home on the web — and a community of customers who feel exactly the same way about the characters and stories they grew up with.
"I longed for something to wear to the parks reminiscent of my favorite characters. I started Kawaiian Pizza Apparel after turning a curiosity about the screen printing process into a hobby."
