Sizing Guide
Find Your Perfect Fit
Every piece is made just for you — so getting the right size matters. Here's how to read our size charts and shop with confidence.
Two Size Charts, One Goal
Every product in our shop includes two size charts in the listing photos. Knowing what each one tells you makes all the difference.
Body Measurement Chart
This chart shows the body measurements — bust, waist, and hips — that correspond to each size label (XS through 3XL). Use it to find which size label aligns with your own body measurements.
Finished Garment Chart
This chart shows the actual dimensions of the finished piece — how wide the chest is, how long the body is, etc. These are measurements of the garment itself, laid flat.
How to Use the Garment Chart
We recommend this approach over body measurements alone — because fit is personal, and the clothes you already love are the best reference point you have.
Find a garment you love
Go to your closet and pull out a piece of clothing that fits you exactly the way you like — whether that's fitted, relaxed, or somewhere in between. It should be the same type of garment (e.g. a dress to compare with a dress, a tee to compare with a tee).
💡 Washed and worn a few times is actually ideal — it'll be truer to size after shrinkage.Lay it flat and measure
Lay your garment flat on a surface with no wrinkles. Use a flexible measuring tape to measure the key dimensions: chest width (armpit to armpit across the front, doubled), body length, and any other measurements listed in our garment chart for that product.
💡 Measure across the front only, then double it — that's the full chest circumference.Open the product listing
Find the finished garment size chart in the product photos — it'll be labelled clearly. Compare the measurements from your garment to the chart. Look for the size whose numbers are closest to what you measured. Don't forget to take stretch of the material into consideration. You can usually add 1-3 inches of wiggle room.
Order that size with confidence
When your reference garment matches a size in our chart, you'll get a very similar fit from your Kawaiian Pizza Apparel piece. Since all our items are made to order, this method takes the guesswork out of sizing entirely.
💡 If you're between two sizes, go with the larger one for more room — or reach out and we'll help you decide. How to Measure Your Body
If you'd prefer to use the body measurement chart instead, here's how to get accurate measurements. A flexible measuring tape and a friend make this much easier.
Bust / Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slip two fingers underneath.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about an inch above your belly button. Exhale normally before measuring.
Hips
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 7–9 inches below your waistline. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height (Kids)
For kids' sizing, height is the most reliable starting point. Stand your child against a wall without shoes and measure from the floor to the top of their head.
Fit Tips from Us
A few things that'll help you shop with confidence and get the best result from your order.
Every product is different
Because we carry multiple styles — dresses, tees, athletic wear, kids' pieces — sizing can vary between product types. Always check the size chart on the specific listing you're ordering from, not just a general guide.
When in doubt, size up
Our items are made to order and can't be exchanged for a different size once production has started. If you're right on the border between two sizes, going with the larger one gives you a more relaxed fit and peace of mind.
Still unsure? Just ask
We'd rather take 5 minutes to help you get the right size than have you end up with something that doesn't fit quite right. Send us a message and we'll walk you through it.
We Can Make It Work
Our custom design service can accommodate a wide range of sizing needs. If the standard options aren't quite right for you, reach out and we'll talk through what's possible.
Explore Custom DesignGetting It Right the First Time
Because every piece is made to order just for you, we're not able to offer size exchanges after production has begun. That's exactly why this guide exists — the garment chart method in particular is the most reliable way to order the right size with confidence.
Use the garment chart
Compare the finished garment measurements to something you already own. It's the single best thing you can do before placing your order.
Ask us before you order
If you're unsure between two sizes, send us a message and we'll help you decide. We'd much rather sort it out beforehand.
Issues with your order?
If something arrives with a defect, isn't what you ordered, of you simply need to exchange sizes, we'll absolutely make it right. See our Returns & Exchanges page for full details.
